Together Again

Steve and I traveled back to the US recently - to Virginia to visit Steve's family for Thanksgiving, and to Madison to see our friends and family and to pick up my cats.

It was really special to see everyone again. This time around we got to 1) celebrate Steve's grandma's 90th(!) birthday, 2) catch 2 movies that won't come to Japan for a while (Borat and For Your Consideration), 3) enjoy lunch-mob occasions TWICE with usual gangs (Thank you, Mistress Ellie!), 4) hang out and have some drinks with friends at the Dane, 5) do some drawings with Henry and Jimmy, and so on... Oh, we had some snow too! Woo-hoo!

Other main part of the trip was to bring back my cats Chiba and Piggy to Tokyo. Their quarantine process was finally completed (thank you to their surrogate parents J&M and J&P!), their health checked, and all the paperwork in place. We took them on board with us, and they handled the looooong travel incredibly well. I am now re-united with my beloved kitties and Steve seems to be enjoying having them around.

Lots of love and warm wishes to everyone for a Happy New Year!

You're welcome for the lunch mob gatherings, my faraway chums. You're not missing any winter weather here though, it's 49 today, and the forcast is like that all week.
Hello global warming, goodbye large heat bill......
