A Halloween Mystery

Here is Akiko posing with a mask we found in a 100 yen store. Is that supposed to be Marilyn Monroe? Hillary Clinton? A blonde John Kerry? Your guess is as good as mine.

The rest of these masks were at least partially recognizable. I believe that's meant to be George HW Bush in the background, and behind him was something resembling Richard Nixon. What I find odd is that every one of the masks were of Americans. Granted, demand for Shinzo Abe and Junichiro Koizumi masks may be rather limited, but there are plenty of other famous Japanese people to choose from. Why no Japanese movie stars and pop singers? Or at least sumo wrestlers and baseball stars?
